AS #3 – Just Do Your Own Thang.
You Achieve By Doing, Not Sitting On Your Ass or Waiting for that ‘Perfect’ Someone to Sweep You off Your Feet.
What you visualize in your mind you can achieve. But only if you have the stamina and patience to go the distance.
You might have to travel down that road alone for a while. It may take days, weeks, months, or years but you decide if the relationship, the dream, the educational pursuit, or the career is worth the financial, emotional, mental, or physical sacrifice in the end.
People, even those closest to you, may screw you in a heartbeat or piss on your parade. Don’t let that one person or that one breakup leave you shattered.
It’s time to break-through and break-free to the other side; tearing off the restraints which kept you attached.
What you do with your life from here on out will be on your terms. Don’t allow their drama to drain you of your higher energy.
Time to receive that higher love that you’ve been dreaming of. That’s what Peter Gibbons played by Ron Livingston did in the movie Office Space (1999). He decided to ask this girl Joanna played by Jennifer Aniston who worked at Chotchkies out, telling her “I wanna take you out to dinner, and then I wanna go back to my apartment and watch Kung Fu.” At which point they both found common ground.
Life involves risk, a type of self-motivational kick in the butt when you see something or someone you want. It’s in these moments you must dare to think outside the cubicle, shred those TPS reports, and express yourself to others in more ways than 37 pieces of flair.
Time to flip off the past and be that guy or girl your future self will thank you for.
