Time after Time

Life Lesson 101-Day 8

Time is fleeting, time is precious, “time won’t give me time and time makes (us) feel that (we’ve) got something real.  But you and me we know. We got nothing but time…Time after time.” From the Culture Club to Cyndi Lauper some of the great songsmiths of our generation-well the boomers from the 80s projected conceptual and poetic variations on this scarce resource.

Every second, every minute, every hour, every day, every week, every month, every year, every decade, every century brings with it dynamic change and extraordinary opportunities for our family, our community, our city, our state, our country, and our world for generations to come.

But only if we heed the words of outgoing President Barack Obama, “The future rewards those who press on.  I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself.  I don’t have time to complain.  I’m going to press on.”

Just do something outside yourself, making a global impression on your journey forward.

Remember, that one child, that one person, that one future leader might just change the world for their generation and for those to come by our willingness to sacrifice our own time and press on.

You may not be a world or national leader but you are the world to that one child looking up to you right now.
