A candle lit by the flame of another can produce a sea of lights. It’s a reminder of the legacy we reflect upon others from those whom are no longer with us in the physical realm but watching us from above.
That flame of love to be passed down to one another-generation to generation, parent to child, sibling to sibling, spouse to spouse, BFF to BFF, and even stranger to stranger.
The only way to pierce the unknown or the unseen is through illumination. The beacon of hope when there may be despair, pain, inner turmoil, loneliness, and isolation. All of which thrive in the darkness. All of which hate the Light.
Our mother and father are not with us; 18 and 16 years have passed. But their Light shines bright in the sky as that lit candle with a flickering flame.
The flame of love and living legacy in things to come.
